Premiere 25 shutting down after initilizing GPU

Hi all

I’m running into the following problem, and I hope someone can help me. I can’t use Premiere 2025. I don’t get an error message, but it launches the loading screen and then shuts down. I’ve tried reinstalling all of Adobe and updating my drivers.

When I switch my graphics card from studio to gaming mode and vice versa, Adobe 25 does start, but only until I get the message:

"Initializing GPU - please stand by for playback. This process is required after new installations or driver updates."

After that, Premiere shut down again.

I’m working with a GeForce RTX 4080, so I don’t think that should be the issue. Premiere 24 works fine.

Does anyone have a solution for me?

Hi @defaultzyr16s9ebz9p - It looks like currently the latest driver for the UHD770 is 32.0.101.6632. Can you install and let us know if that helps your issue.  Intel Graphics Drivers

Hi @defaultzyr16s9ebz9p - Sounds like you may need to update the driver for UHD Graphis 770.  What driver do you have installed?

Hi,

I disabled the RTX 4080 and it did not work.

The I disabled the Interl(R) UHD Graphis 770 and it works.

Not sure if I lose speed and quality then?

Hi @defaultzyr16s9ebz9p - Are you using the Game or Studio driver?  Adobe recommends using the "Studio" driver version when working in Premiere Pro.

Can you try navigating to device manager > Display adapters > right click on your RTX 4080 and select disable then launch Premiere and see if you are still having issues

I get an message that there is a new version today. Just installed it and hoped it will work but it doesnt. The version I installed is 572.60. The one I had was the version before.

Hi @defaultzyr16s9ebz9p - You can open the Nvidia App and it will tell you under the drivers tab which drivers are installed.

It says premiere 25.1, nothing more. Where can I see the driver version? I cant see it in premiere itself cause it closes after starting screen.

HI @defaultzyr16s9ebz9p - Which exact version of Premiere are you working on?  Can you let us know the driver version?
