I have been having an issues where when I click on my motion option in my effects tab, my blue bounding box doest not show up in the program monitor. As soon as i start to work on a project it will work, but a few edits in, it just stops working. I have no idea how to get it back.

I've seen others report that when working on a Laptop (whose screens are just too small for this type of work), resizing the Program Monitor larger would bring back the bounding box.

I've seen others report that while dealing with a PC (whose screens are only excessively little for this sort of work), resizing the Program Screen bigger would bring back the bounding box.

This was often because custom scaling was used in the Windows settings, and some scaling amounts created this problem.

This is an old thread, and I hope this was fixed. We don't see the problem mentioned as often anymore....

I was having this problem on a MacBook Pro 2015 laptop when using a second monitor via HDMI. I had my Program Monitor on the 2nd monitor. The Motion bounding boxes weren't showing up on it. I tried the "resizing the Program Monitor" trick, to no avail.

What did work was switching back to a single display workspace, then switching back to dual display. The bounding box showed up on my HDMI monitor. Pretty janky; but I imagine it's difficult for Adobe since they have to make Premiere work on so many platforms.

Thanks Jim Simon. I had a similar issue with the text cursor, text bounding box and layer handles not showing up in the program monitor (Premiere Pro CC2019, multi-monitor, Win10). Resizing the program monitor panel brings 'em back alive.

I've tried all kinds of program monitor resizing and I can never get the bounding box to appear.
