Premiere crashes when exporting in h.264

Hey, i know this question has been asked a lot, but I tried all the common solutions and its still not working.

I'm using: Premiere Pro 25 (latest version), Macbook M2 Max 32GB GPU 1TB SSD

So everytime I hit export with H.264 and Match Adaptive Bitrate or even 1080p High Quality, it renders the audio in 1-2 seconds and after the audio rendering when the video rendering begins, Premiere crashes.

The weird thing is, I've always been using the default settings and never had this problem ever. My settings didn't change, the footage didn't change. When I try it like 15-20 times, it magically starts rendering till the end and then when its on 100% it crashes again.

I tried re-installing, deleting cache, deactivating hardware encoding, rendering it through media encoder. Nothing worked and I'm starting to get a little desperate because my job depends on it.

Appreciate any help.

Hi @Pascal34960610wihw -  Thanks for submitting your bug report. We need a few more details to try to help with the issue.

We looked up your crashlog that you submitted and it seems to do with a VST audio plugin.  Do you have any special audio plugins installed?

Sorry for the frustration.

Hi @Pascal34960610wihw - If you disable the waves plugins do you still crash?

You can manually disable them by going to the effects panel click the hamburger menu and then select "Manage Audio Plugins"

Hi @Pascal34960610wihw - One more and then I will ask a dev to take a look, Do you have something about plugin wrapper?

Can you try to go to sequence in the menu bar and select "delete render files"

I am not familiar with a plugin wrapper. I have always used the same plugins without issues. Could you please clarify what you mean by this or guide me on how to check for potential conflicts related to it?

Also I can't click "delete render files"Bildschirmfoto 2024-11-22 um 23.05.36.png

Hi @Pascal34960610wihw  - the report definitely points to crashing with the waves plugin.  Can you try to re-scan the audio effects to remove any stale entries or missing effects.

Audio Prefs>Audio Plugin manager>check on re-scan… then scan.
