Hey!

Both premiere and after effects are up to date. I've cleared the cache. I've copied the premiere project to a new fresh project. But nothing seems to help. Premiere crashes whenever i try to import the after effects sequence.

Premiere version 23.6

After effects version 23.6

Computer specs

2.4 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9

AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 8 GB

64 GB 2667 MHz DDR4

Dynamic Link's refusal to work has plunged this project into a perpetual state of troubleshooting. Why can't adobe just get their stuff together.

What all is done in that comp? That would be good to know. And your hardware.

And personally, anytime I've got Ae comps on a Pr sequence ... to keep sanity ... as soon as the comp is "done", I do export a full clip outta Ae. Import into Pr, replace the comp with the clip.

It just works then. Renders/exports more reliable and faster too.

Everyone's mileage always varies ...

the one i'm trying to import has a few masks, puppet warp and turbulent displace.

feels like i'm gonna have to go down that path or figure out a different workflow.

You could export from AE a ProRes file of the comp and import that into PP.

It doesn't really work with the project. It's a music video so it'd be great if i could get dynamic link working and work that way.
