Both myself and my coworker are having major issues with Premiere Pro crashing regularly for no apparent reason. Our timelines are pretty simple (mostly interview work), with very little to no effects. It is usually when we are using projects with Red Raptor footage, but we've also had issues with Komodo and Helium footage. It this a Red and Premiere compatibility issue, or is it a Mac Silicon issue? We only switched to the M2 Macs about a month ago, and I didn't have this issue when I was using the Intel based Mac. The other wierd thing is playback is great with little to no issues.

Sorry to hear about the crash, Kevin.
Do you see any error messages or crash reports? Is there any specific that triggers the issue or it's random?
Let us know more details.
Thanks,
Nishu

There's nothing that very notable. I'll simply be playing through a sequence without any issues and then it'll just crash out of the blue.

Are you using multiple monitors? Are there any third-party plug-ins installed? Does it happen with all the projects? Where your project file and footage is stored - in an internal, external or a network drive?
Let us know.
Thanks,
Nishu

Hola, al parecer estar trabajando con archivos 4k y 8k de las cámaras RED, serÃa recomendable que trabajes en proxies, Lo ideal serÃa para esos archivos tener al menos 32gb de Ram.
Saludos cordiales

Hello,
Start working on a new Mac Studio M2 Max, 96Go, Sonoma 14,2 with Premiere Pro 24.4.1 (build 2).
Simple HD project, mxf files from Sony, with dualcam project. Dual screen configuration. Media on external hard drive, USB-C
I have same issue. Premiere freeze few times in the first working day.
Also Render status is all yellow and Render Systeme in the General Project setting is not a option. I tried to import regular Apple Prores HD file, and the render status is still yellow.
Looks like the tiger is a cat.
