Hi, Ive done some screen recording on mac using Cntrl+Command+5, the files are H264 QT Movie.
Now Im editing these files on Premiere Pro CC 2019 but for some reason I can import some of them but not others.
This has no relation to the size of the files or the format since Im equally able and unable to import big and small files and all were recorded using the same method.
Does anyone has a solution for this problem?
Im using a IMac and Ive tried multiple importing methods. They do appear in the library but when I try to import the following message appears "we were unable to open the file or the disk".
Ive searched here for some solutions but Im not able to find anyone with the same problem.
Thank you!
EDIT: Foun the solution to the problem in case anyone has the same issue.
Aperrently screen record sometimes (but not always) creates complex edit lists. What does this mean? I have no idea. But apperently premiere - for whatever reason - is not compatible with complex edit lists.
What worked for me was changing .mov to .mp4. Why did it work? Also have no idea.
If you want to batch change the extensions on mac this might help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dE_MEdfgZ44
