Premiere Pro 2020- need background to be black instead of transparent

I've been noticing while editing one of my videos that the background has went from all black to transparent. I don't even know what happened and it's suddenly no longer black. Without a color matte, the background outside of the video is transparent. Any way that I can fix this?

Did you accidentally set the Program monitor to show transparent pixels/alpha channels? Check under the wrench tool.

Background is always black, or rather it's a void and shows as black.

Might have checked the Transparancy Grid under the Wrench tool in the Program Monitor.

2 Years later and you are the only person who actually answered my question, i mean once i added the color key idk how my transparancy grid activated but i thought i lost EVERYTHING black in every project Ive ever done so far. God bless !!! 2 years later ! Im so relieved right now
