Premiere Pro 2022 Crashes on AAF exports

Hi, I exported an .aaf file before a few days ago and it worked fine. Then I tried out the Premiere Pro Beta and used one of it's features to help mix a music for me and it worked great. But now that I am trying to export it as an .aaf file to color garde in Davinci. It does not finish. It crashes when it starts to export and only gets to about 35-40% of the way and thats it. I am unsure if it's the feature of the beta that is causing this. I also am not sure if I uninstall it, will it get rid of the mixing of the music it did for me on my timeline?

Current Premiere Pro is v22.4

Crazy to imagine how long AAf has been on the scene and yet here I am in 2025 STILL unable to import an AAF exported from Resolve. Its unbelievable that we as professionals still have to deal with these pathetic issues without any form of attempt from Adobe to fix this. Speechless

I'm late to the party but, your AAF settings might be telling Premiere to copy over every single frame of the source audio. Instead, click "trim audio" and then input 24 frames of handles (or however many you want).

Hello Oso,

I wonder if clearing your preferences and trashing your media cache would help. There may be something left over in those files that isn't supposed to be there.

Preferences: FAQ: How to reset (trash) preferences in Premiere Pro?

Media Cache: FAQ: How to clean (delete or trash) media cache files?

Let me know if this works!

Hi Oso.

It is definnitely the new Audio Remix tool in the sequence when trying to export to AAF. Was able to export timeline without Remixed music audio. Then had to send out the music as a flattened audio file which exported fine.

I had this same issue. I had one track that was remixed using the tool. I rendered and replaced the track without success. As soon as I rendered it out and imported a new wav file, I could export successfully.
