Premiere Pro 2023/24 Stops working when I record audio

When I record an audio track in  Premiere Pro, sometimes (every few tracks) things stop working correctly when I stop recording. I'll list as many relevant details as I can about the behavior below.

This happens whether I stop the recording with the space bar or if I click on the microphone on the audio track. When I stop the recording, it freezes for 30 seconds or so and I cannot click on anything. I discovered that if I leave it alone for a moment, it will eventually allow me to click around.

Once I can click around, I do not get any click feedback in the panels that contain the video/audio tracks. I can hit the spacebar and it seems like it is playing the track, but I cannot hear anything. If I delete the audio track that was recorded from the media library of the project, it seems to go back go normal. This does not happen every single time I record an audio track, but right now it seems to occur about one out of every three or so recordings.

Update: Sometimes it does happen every single time I'm trying to record another audio clip.

Update 2: This issue seems to no longer occur when Premiere Pro is not maximized to take up the full screen. In case any devs look at this, the screen I'm using is a Samsung 49" monitor with 3840x1080 resolution.
