Premiere Pro 2024 fails to launch after installation on macOS 14.6.1

Hi,

Phew... no way to contact Adobe (at least not in Germany)... so therefore i have to rely for a very expensive product on your help (crazy if you think of it - but nice for the company i suppose)...

My issue, after installation Premiere Pro 2024 on my Mac running 16.6.1 i can't launch it since it wants to access a folder ("Public" - ???) and links to the Files and Folder section under Privacy & Security in System Preferences - however, there is no entry for Premiere Pro (only for Acrobat, Illustrater, Lightroom and so on) and thus, Premiere Pro won't launch. Even restarting the Mac and deleting and reinstalling Premiere Pro (via the Creative Cloud app) didn't help. Pretty frustrating.

Any assistance is most appreciated - including an email or a tel number to contact Adobe.

I finally got it working.

Firstly, I uninstalled Premiere Pro 2024, and installed a previous version (23.6.7). Then after some research, I found the reason could be that my ~/Public folder is read-only. So I added write permission the command below:

sudo chmod +w ~/Public

After adding this, I was able to launch Premiere Pro 23 after clicking "Allow" on a few dialogs.

After that, I closed Premiere Pro 23, and went to Adobe CC to upgrade to the latest Premiere Pro 24.5. And then, it also worked!

So looks like the root cause was that my ~/Public folder was read-only.
