Since the usage of premiere pro 2025, my mac crashes and freezes, since the volumes get to over 50GB, even though i am working with a very small project. It happens after a while and i dont know why. Never had this problem with the other Premoere Pro versions. I also cannot export. Very strange. I also have enough storage on my mac...

same here on a macbook 14 m3 pro...constantly crashing, even on a small project with proxies prerendered. This was never necessary before, but even with proxies..superslow and unstable. Impossible to continue in a regular editing flow. Adobe MUST fix this issue soon, otherwise I will switch to Resolve and will not come back.

I've been having this problem. It freezes my whole system and I end up losing the last 10 minutes of work.

I am on a Mac Studio, 132gb RAM and an M2 Ultra... Everything was fine yesterday. Today it says "Adobe Premiere Pro 2025 is damaged and can't be opened" move to trash?
I have uninstalled and reinstalled - i have downgraded from 2025 to 2025.1 - same message. I have restarted my machine after uninstalling and reinstalling...I am on the latest iOS. WTF Adobe!? I have deadlines!!!! Evwerything was fine yesterday. Nothing changed. I was using premiere just fine before I left yesterday. I shut down before I leave, I come into work and turn it back on... what changed while my system was off and NOT using Premiere!? Don't make me have to switch to AVID and never us Adobe again.

Same here!!!
MacBook Pro M3 Pro 14" with 18 GB RAM and a 512 GB SSD, running macOS Sequoia 15.1

I started experiencing issues with Adobe Premiere Pro 2025. After running for a while, it gives me a "Force Quit Applications" message. I’ve attached screenshots of the issue.

This happens even when I’m only using Adobe Premiere Pro. When it happens, I have to quit the application, reopen it, and then it works for a while before the memory usage in Activity Monitor starts to spike again, leading to the same error.

This issue didn’t occur before on 2024. Premiere Pro 2024 used to run smoothly and efficiently.
Any Soloution?!

Guys, the temporary solution is to go back to the 2024 version. And to open projects from the 2025 edition in the previous version, export the projects in XML.

Going back to 2024 doesn't work for me... since I installed 2025, it has screwed up the 2025 version too...

Completely agree, here I have been waiting for hours for a simple render, apparently the problem lies in applying "essential sound" changes to the clips, because out of nowhere my entire project uses 100% of the GPU and CPU.
Version 2025 does not seem very stable to me, I will return to 2024 until they fix this problem.

Yup agree with lots of people here. Since 'upgrading' to Premiere Pro 2025 it keeps hanging when switching between sequences, playback is stuttery, proxies sometimes seem to detach for no apparent reason. Macbook Pro M4Pro 14/20 with 24Gb RAM. It even appens with no other applications open. Activity monitor doesn't suggest the mac is struggling - everything green, nor should it be struggling, . Premiere Pro 2024 was ok. Unfortunately 2025 made me resave projects into new format so not sure I can use the project I'm working on in 2024

Same issue here. Upgraded to Premiere Pro 2025 and the software is crashing all the time, freezing on tasks I never had a problem with. This is unacceptable as I rely on this software for work.

Also not trying to be rude, but considering switching to Da Vinci

The same problem is happening to me... Preview crashing and other computer activities too.

In the previous version and with the Sonoma the problem was with glitches, now with the 2015 version and the Sequoia it is impossible to work with this slowness...

Same... I have an m3pro with Sequoia and I started working on a project in Premiere 25 and it's so laggy it's completely unusable to work with. And after going back to Premiere 24 as a possible fix, which works fine, the project obviously can't get converted backwards and all my work is lost.

Adobe needs a major update ASAP! I literally can't work and if I can't edit, I don't get paid. This makes me seriously consider leaving premiere now.

Pretty frustrating... It seems that you need to find a "trick" to make this app work as it should be. Playback is slow, after 5 minutes of having the project open.  Running it from a macbook pro 3... it shouldnt run that way.
