Premiere Pro 2025 is a Mess — Stop Pushing Broken Features

Hi Adobe,

I’ve already rolled back to Premiere Pro 2024 because the 2025 version is, frankly, unusable for professional work. It’s bloated with half-baked AI features nobody asked for, and the core editing experience has taken a massive hit in stability and performance. If I wanted TikTok-style auto-edits and AI junk, I’d be using CapCut for free.

What I actually need is a fast, reliable, predictable editing platform that respects my workflow. Not experimental tools shoved into the UI at the expense of speed and precision.

This constant push to reinvent the wheel every year without listening to your core user base is exhausting. Please stop prioritizing gimmicks over functionality.

At the very least, make older, stable versions more easily accessible. And listen to the editors who made Premiere what it is not the marketing buzzwords.

P.S. I'm just one more frustrated user, watching Adobe get worse every single year.

Nothing is free! CapCut gets a broad license: By using the service and particularly by uploading content to their cloud, you grant CapCut a "perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license" to use your content. A good alternative is Davinci Resolve at a very good price, without pay for ever!

I've been using PP and AE since cs4, and it really genuinely does get worse every year.  I've just got a new commputer completely built to the recommended specs, everything is set up correctly, and it still runs like ****.  I don't understand what is going on - they're acting like they're not a business and that we can just go to their competitors.  Phasing out PP for Resolve now because I can't keep spending so much time dealing with bugs

I have been using Premier CC and Premier Pro since 2017. Premier Pro 2025 is by far the WORST version. I am looking for other editing software options for professional projects. Everytime I open up a project that I have been working on, something is wrong or is not working. Audio files have the gray stripes and won't play, despite the audio files showing up in the preview window and playing fine. I don't understand why those are even showing up, since I have only worked on the same project FOR MONTHS! The source footage is and has been on the same external hardrive. Nothing changes, but for some reason Premiere Pro 2025 can't link the audio files that are obviously on my exrternal hard drive. Other audio files are from the same file, but play different audio than what I originally clipped. When I go to play my project, nothing happens for several seconds, but the audio is playing with a frozen video. This is regardless of if I rendered, or not, and with having a compatible video driver. Please, for the love of god, stop "updating" Premier. It is not as user-friendly, and you changed names of functions and effects for no damn reason. I can't wait to find another option so I can, hopefully, stop paying $60/month for crap editing software. Premier used to be great. Now it is barely usable.

Hi Mongoose Hanson,

Are these .MTS files? Those need a plug-in now. Let us know.

Thanks,
Kevin

@Jose_Borda9747  we hear your frustration and we are definitely listening! Would you be willing to get on a video call with us to discuss what you're seeing? We are tracking a couple of issues that could be causing worse performance for some customers in v25 than in v24. If you're interested, please send me a DM via the forum or a direct email to fhammond@adobe.com. I'm a product manager on the video team and one of my areas of focus is performance.

Fergus
