Premiere Pro: Animation doesn't work with timeremapping

Hi, need some assistance, please. In my sequence I have a clip which is timeremapped for a speed up at a certain point. I try animating position and the clip in question does not move at all, the animated properties change but the the clip remains steady. The same happens if I try using transform for this. I could NEST the clip - then the animation works fine but in this case the video gets cropped (sure I can change the size of the crop but this is too many actions to take). Is there a way to make animated properties actually work when a clip is timeremapped?

Nesting is the way to go.

put the animation in its own matching timeline, timeremape, nest, do the motion than put this in your main timeline.

Well I actually mentioned this workaround above. Aren'there better ways?

Stop trying to edit and EDIT!

Nesting for something like this, is the long-used way to apply multiple complex effects to a clip without getting processing errors.

That's how this is built to work.

Everyone's mileage always varies ...
