Premiere Pro Blur Effect Turns Into Flickering After Exporting

When exporting a Premiere project (trying several different export alternatives and file formats as well) containing text that blurs in and out, created using a combo of the gaussian blur effect and opacity automation, the end file contains some heavy flickering when the effect tones in and out. I am desperate to get rid of this and thankful for any guidance.

Try to nest between the effects.

I tried this… doesn't work. I'm using Premiere Pro CC 2018. So frustrating. We should not be having these kinds of issues while using this "professional" software.

UPDATE: I tried a solution that I found on another adobe forum post from someone who said to clear your settings (or cache files?) using the "SHIFT + ALT/OPT" buttons while starting up Premiere Pro. So, press & hold those buttons and then click to open PP while holding those buttons. This worked on a small clip for me, now I'm exporting the whole video (using GPU (OpenCL) to see if it continues to be a solution. (Fingers crossed!!)

Update #2: Didn't work when I exported the whole video. Must've been a fluke. smh. So disappointing and infuriatingly frustrating.

I finally ended up exporting each of the portions of the video that had the Gaussian Blur on them, using GPU (Metal), and then re-imported those clips into my Sequence so that I could export the whole thing as one. This is an unfortunate situation and highly undesired solution, but I ran out of options.

It seems to come when there is automations. I have the same problem. It is really annoying when you really need to pass projects to a customer and you cannot blur registeration plates from cars. This is my situation now. I have mac version of premiere.

Please adobe do something about it. Years passed and only one complain? Really?
