Premiere Pro bugs

Hello. There are a few bugs that have been around for a few months now.
The worst one is that when I'm editing text, the keyboard shortcuts aren't disabled as they should be, and they were before. So while I'm typing random letters it does all kinds of actions that it shouldn't do. Like take me to the beginning or the end of the timeline when typing "i" or "o", etc. These should be disabled when we are typing text and the text tool is selected. The output is completely random; a few times you type those letters and everything is ok, but then most of the time they activate the keyboard shortcuts and sometimes it types the letters, sometimes it doesn't. I can't believe this bug hasn't been solved yet. I do a lot of videos with significant text and this bug is extremely frustrating.
And another bug I wanna report happens when copying different elements on the timeline that have the FilmImpact effects. For instance, I copy a text that has the Block Motion effect a few times and then suddenly, some of the duplicated elements contain a cross dissolve effect instead of the block motion one. Again, completely random and ilogical.
Thanks for reading this and please fix these bugs.

Hi @Dan31837810mhco - the first issue you are describing where keyboard shortcuts are overriding text input has been fixed in Premiere version 25.6: P: Shortcut keys overriding while typing

Can you post your reproducible steps for your second issue, or share a screen recording.

Thanks for the reply. I have the last version, 25.6.4, and the bug still persists.

Thanks, I reseted preferences and cleared the cache but I still experience the bug. I'm on the last version of Premiere Pro on Windows 11. (It happened on Windows 10 too.)

@Dan31837810mhco,

Thanks for trying that. And thanks for your patience in trying to sort out what is a very frustrating problem.

I'm asking these questions because I know from the similar bugs that we have to be very precise in order to identify the problem. Please double-check your version and report what you see. We are in the midst of a roll-out of a new major version of PR (Release 26.0), and there were multiple versions of 25.6.x.

Some screen capture programs allow you to have the keys you type show visually. But even without this, a screen recording may be helpful. For example, in what I call "bug 3," a screen recording showed that starting with the type tool selected demonstrated the bug, but starting with the selection tool did not. And in many cases, we'll know which letter you typed based on the action we see.
