Premiere Pro CC 2018 Quicktime gone. Alternative?

My client prefers I deliver exports as ProRes .mov (Quicktime) but I can't find that option in CC 2018. Where did it go? And if it's not coming back, what is a good alternative that (hopefully) I can sell my client on?

Five days after updating to CC 2018, the Quicktime export option (on Mac) is inexplicably back. Thank goodness.

Under "Quicktime" format, go under the "Video options" and change the codec from "Video Codec". There you can find ProRes. The preset will automatically change to Custom

Wow, could they have made this any less intuitive?

Hi NoraN,
I have seen some folks missing presets, but QuickTime export is still there. This can be a bit confusing.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Kevin. I discovered it was back yesterday. Thanks!

Cineform and DNx are both as good visually as ProRes.

DNx has the added advantage of using the superior MXF container.

Thanks, Jim_Simon.   I'll give that a try.

Are you on a mac or windows machine.

There is no prores export on windows.

If you are on a mac if it was in 2017 it still should be in 2018.

I'm on Mac. It was in 2017 but not in 2018. Should I report it?
