Premiere Pro CC 2019 keeps crashing after opening old projects and using 3rd party audio VST plugins! Why is this so?!

This has never been a problem for me and it is really frustrating trying to work on a video when every 3-4 minutes PP is crashing and not even giving me the error report option! This only has been happening since updating to the new CC 2019 earlier this week!! Please fix this IMMEDIATELY Adobe!

One of your VST's or 3rd party plugins is causing this. You will need to go through a process of elimination and see which one.

    1. Move all you VST's to of their original location to a folder on your desktop and run the PP project and see what happens

Put each one back one at a time and eventually the culprit will appear

    2. Older plugins won't make CC2019 crash. I have tested plugins all the way back from the original CC and all is stable.

But if your VST's are all in order do the same for the plugins.

I'm on a Mac so plugins are found in Library-->Application Support-->Adobe-->Common--"Version Number

Do the same for the plugins as u did for the VST's and see what happens.

I suspect the culprit will be a VST and not a plugin

    Let me know

Has this been fixed yet, I am now in a project that I need to finish and Adobe just keeps crashing upon export in both Premier and AME.

I'm also having the same problem.  Just lost a few hours of work.  I'm not running any plugins.  I've tried the above suggestion and it still won't stop crashing.  It's almost like going back to 2005... Save every 30 seconds.  Please fix it.

Go to the UserVoice system and report this, as this forum is primarily user to user with product support staff monitoring and the UserVoice system goes right to the engineers systems. That way the folks that work on such things get the information directly.

I'm having the same problem. Please fix ASAP. I don't have time to deal with a bunch of workarounds.

    Hi eremasir,

See if any of the VST plug-ins need updating. Then, import the old project into a new one. Report back if that works for you.

    Thanks,

Instead of opening old projects with the new version of Premiere try creating a new project in CC 2019 and then importing the old project. Any change?

Thanks for suggesting this, calebwojcik. I was about to suggest the same thing.
