Hello, so I have been using Premiere Pro for years now. I've been using the cuda graphic card setting while I'm editing but then I realized when I render that my pc is using my CPU. Is there a reason why it does not use my GPU?

The best thing to get first for a Premiere build is a CPU with 8 or more cores, preferably above 3.8Ghz, and mounted on a motherboard with enough lanes that are adjustable so you can have several things like GPU, decklink or AJA cards, maybe a sound card or m.2 connector, without hitting data bottlenecks.

Then of course RAM by the bucket, 32GB or better, and a solid GPU. The GPU works more in support of the CPU/RAM setup.

By design, Premiere sorts things into normal CPU work and GPU work. For GPU use, think major frame resizing such as Warp stabilizer and color such as Lumetri. To see what uses the GPU in Premiere, refer to this ...
