Premiere Pro crashes when creating Auto Reframe sequence

I am using the latest updated version 23.5.0 (build 56) and the Auto Reframe Sequence was working just fine until yesterday. When I try to reframe it from, for example 9x16 to 1x1 , Premiere crashes.

Any ideas why?

Thanks!

the only way around I found till now - like in many other crashes - changing the general setting from cuda hardware to software only

The same thing happened to me when I was using an older version, then I updated it and it no longer crashes BUT I can only reframe by not nesting the clips. It does an ok job but in the bottom right corner it will say analyzing forever. When I try reframing with nesting (which I need) nothing happens. I can't find the reframed sequence anywhere.

I'd like to look into this myself. If I can't easily repro it on my own, I will need precise steps and crash info from someone who can. Who on this thread is willing and able to work with me directly on this?

Also having this issue. Trying to convert to 9:16. Seems to be when the clips loads into the Program Monitor it kills Premiere.

Same here. Can someone please resolve this? I have a M2 mac and everytime I try to autoreframe the application runs out of memory and crashed. I tried the apple silicon and the intel version, both crash around 90% analysis
