Premiere Pro CS5 "Entry Point Not Found" UIFramework.dll [Error 127]

Trying to launch PP CS5 on my Win10 desktop gives me this error message:

I've tried copying dvacore.dll from Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder CS5 to Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 like Adobe's own info says, and I've tried Installing Visual C++ 2012 Update 4 like another post instructed. I've also tried reinstalling Premiere.

I had this running just fine before I reinstalled Windows, and if I ever encountered this problem before, I can't remember it.

Does anyone know something that might help?

It seems that you have installed CS5 on 😧 instead of the desired C:.

Try to uninstall CS5 from 😧 and install CS5 on C: using the default path that the installer recommends and report back.

Wow, that worked. Why did that work? Before reinstalling Win10 I had all my programs, Premiere included, installed on the 😧 drive rather than C:. What changed?

Hey @lancec62,

Sorry about that. It's just super old software that not that many people on these forums use anymore. Sorry, I don't have specific knowledge of this issue. It's likely because you're running such old software on a new machine and OS This thread may help: https://community.adobe.com/t5/video-hardware-discussions/system-requirements-for-premiere-pro-cs5/td-p/3311017. Maybe @Ann Bens can assist.

Thanks,
Kevin

That link seems to be broken for me.

I should also mention that I have been running Premiere CS5 on this same hardware with this same OS for years previously, it's just that something unforseen made me reinstall lately and suddenly I can't make it work.

Am I allowed to bump my own topic? I'm nervous that it was passed over and nobody has seen it.
