Premiere pro freezing while using. Proxies are also not working and freeze.

Hello, I just got a new XPS 17 9730. 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900H 2.60 GHz, 64GB Ram,  Windows 11. 64 bit Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 version 536.23.

when working 4k footage, my timeline starts going fast when playing, the music speeds up, then eventually freezes. I have to restart my PC because premiere pro will not boot up after the issue occurs. After doing that,  I can work for a while then it happens again. I render footage and it doesn't really help. It tends to freeze after I render my timeline.  My xps 15 with 32 ram etc ran smoothly. Proxies won't even work when I toggle them on, it starts and then stops. I have to toggle off proxies to work the footage. any ideas what my issue is?

Hi @ryanm66034228,

I saw your message. You said you're having trouble with your 4K footage. Which GPU was in your previous system. Have you tried any other drivers? That could be the issue. Let us know.

Thanks,

Kevin

No change in anything with the older driver version. Here is a video of what happens. music speeds and all speeds up really fast, eventually it freezes. Hope I can fix this. Any ideas what to do? next?

I was able to complete a video project and even exported it successfully and it looks great. but so buggy.
