We are having issues with premiere pro freezing whenever we have media go offline and it takes ages to get premiere to even generate the media offline window. We are using sharebrowser to help with the media storage, but occasionally the media files with sharebrowser get moved around and or deleted. We try to keep to one project a year with multiple sequences for daily videos. We would like any advise to try and fix the freezing especially since the media offline is never within the sequence we are working on just sequestered to previous sequences connected to the project.

1. What is the best workflow for daily turnovers? We are currently under the impression it is one project per year with multiple sequences.

2. Is there a way to mark media offline before premiere freezes over not finding the media?

Any advise would be helpful. Thank you.

LATEST

Sorry. It's Premiere 2022 and macOS Monterey with the version 12.5.1 We have had all recent updates for premiere and what we can with the mac's according to the updates available. Most of the files are MXF or MOV files. We frequently are working on a sequence with the main project for the year and when premiere senses anything offline or moved in the sharebrowser it freezes for a long time before showing the error message about media offline. It is a repeat issue multiple times a week. I don't have the full text of the error this minuete but when it happens again I will follow up with that. This didn't seem to come from an update and has been a repeat error for months. We have tried to solve the problem and search for an answer in discussion forums but haven't seen any with the same exct issue. I can't provide the media here but would like any advise I can get to the 2 main questions.

1. Is one project a year a good recommended workflow?

2. Is there a way to check media offline before starting the project for the day so that if it detects media offline it doesn't freeze for so long?

Thank you.
