Question

Premiere Pro hanging indefinitely during 'Scanning Audio Plug-In' step

I'm having an issue that closely resembles this issue here involving `dvaaudiofilterscan`. The difference is that I'm on the 13" M1 MBP runnning Big Sur (11.2).

This failure is happening when I try opening Premiere v22.0 (both M1 and Intel versions) as well as v15.4.1 (M1 and Intel).

Besides installing the earlier version, I've tried quitting and restarting both versions repeatedly, it hangs each time and will only respond to a Force Quit.

For some more context, I also have Premiere installed on another machine (16" MBP w/ Intel chip) using the same Creative Cloud subscription.

Anyone have any advice?

Hi there,

We're sorry about the poor experience. Have you tried resetting app preferences & checked if it's working properly?

Thanks,

Sumeet

Hi Sumeet -- thanks for the tip.

Unfortunately this doesn't appear to solve the problem, I tried resetting the preferences for both versions of Premiere and I'm still getting the same result. Anything else I should try?

Hi Sumeet, I was just able to resolve this issue after a full machine reboot. It appears that there may have been an issue surfacing the window that alerts me that I'm logged into my maximum number of devices. Once I reached that window after the reboot, I signed out of another one of my devices and now I'm able to access Premiere as usual. Thanks for the help!
