I am having some really slow performance in Premiere. Here are my specs. This computer is recently wiped running windows 10  and has a fresh install of Adobe programs. Any suggestions on how to make Premiere run normally? or at least faster? Also is CUDA supported?

Processor AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1090T Processor, 3200 Mhz, 6 Core(s)

RAM 8gb

Hard Drive 480 SSD

Video Card Nvidia GeForce GTX 760

When you say faster do you mean playback speed or something else?

I have 6GB of RAM (the rest of my specs are in  my profile) and Premiere runs smoothly for me.

Yes playback is slow and rendering time is slow.

What size projects are you working on, what do they contain, and what export settings are you suing?

  1. You could use more memory.
  2. Only one drive?
  3. Your seven year old six core AMD without hyperthreading and the lack of all the instructions that Intel has and Adobe uses really works against Premiere Pro performance,  The newer AMD Ryzen line is a vast improvement.

The drive is connected by usb 3.0.  Its a lacie drive.

If all your files are coming from an external drive then you will have lag as the project needs to be on the computer itself, otherwise it will lag, you might need the footage on the desktop as well.
