Premiere Pro jumping footage.

Hello. I have verry big problem.

When i'm playing my footage in premiere pro. It's jumping.. I mean frames are jumping, mixing, jumping back and forward.... I don't have more ideas so im writing here for some help...It is also happening after rendering my footage. But when I'm opening files before (not in premiere) videos are playing normally..

I have :

Intel core i7-8700

Radeon RX 580 8GB

32 GB RAM
SSD and HDD drives

    Transcoding is a time consuming process. You are taking a file in a specific codec and rendering it out into a different codec. There isn't really a way to get around that.

    At my post house we attempt to work naively with files and if they give any issue, we create proxies and use those. If that still doesn't work properly, we transcode everything to Prores422 HQ and work from that.


    Transcoding is working for me so thank you verry much for your help! Pitty that it takes so much time, but it's working

    I you have OBS Open close that Sucker.. it was affecting my premier on mac.. be aware~!

    What is the codec of this footage? Where is the file located? aka: try editing the footage with the file located on your desktop.

    Also, try changing playback resolution from 1/8 to Full.

    Ok. I'll try full playback and file on my desktop. Codec is HEVC.

    H.265 (HEVC) is a terrible, terrible editing codec.

    Let me reiterate: It's bad. Very bad. As in, "never use HEVC for editing" bad.

    Please try transcoding this footage to an intermediate format, Cineform or Prores or whatever you prefer. If AME spits it out stuttery as well, you may need to use Handbrake or MPEG Streamclip.

    But never, never, never try to edit H.265 footage.

    I have seen this happen sometimes as well. Often it can be solved by closing Premiere Pro and manually delete the Media Cache and the Media Cache Database. When done, open the project again and let everything Conform completely before working with the project.

    FAQ: How to clean (delete or trash) media cache files?

    If the problem still presists it sounds like you are using .mp4 files. Try to rename a clip with issues to .mpeg and try again.

    Unfortunetly it's not working Both media cashe cleaning and eaven this changing to mpeg   It's a MOV file, not mp4, but still works bad.. this is example:

    Both media cashe cleaning

    Did you just clean or did you manually delete both the Media Cache and Media Cache Database in Explorer?

    Just using the clean option in Premiere Pro is not enough for those issues, one must manually delete the files.
