Premiere Pro Keeps Crashing After Adding Effect | Cannot Take ANY Actions

I added the morph-cut video effect in between two clips. Typically, this doesn't cause issues. This time, it made the entire program crash after giving me the spinning-circle-of-death for a couple of minutes. 

I was nudged to create a copy of the project, which I did. Now, both the files have this issue; every time I open the project, I cannot take a single action (including removing the effect, downloading the entire video, copy the entire project, etc.) without getting the eternal-loading signal again. 

The program keeps crashing and although I know how it started, I don't know how to stop it. PLEASE help!
