Hello everyone. i have a mac pro book from 2010 and can no longer update due to its age. I wanted to know if there is the possibility of installing an older version of adobe premiere pro, compatible with my laptop. I have the version of "el capitan 10.11.6" thanks to everyone

not sure if that's true.  If you can find a high sierra boot disk on an external hard drive, and can clone it over to your macbook pro, it may work.  First try connecting the external drive and restarting the macbookpro while holding down the option key and see if it will allow you to boot from it.  If it does, you can clone high sierra to your internal drive using a program called carbon copy cloner.  Although high sierra will not install on my 2009 macpro tower, I was able to actually boot from a high sierra drive and its been working without issues.  The fact is, you'll eventually need to buy a new computer, but this may work in the meantime.

see if davinci resolve will install.  It's free and although nowhere near as well designed as premiere, it might work for you.   You might also go on Ebay and see if there's an earlier version of Premiere available.  premiere cs 5.5 or 6 might work but you'd probably be wise to do some googling to see if it's a smart idea.

But just remember formats have changed a great deal in the last 10 years and if you're using a newer camera, you might be s.o.l.

Thank you for suggesting it. However, the currently available version of DaVinci Resolve will not run at all on that 2010 MacBook Pro because it now requires OSX 10.13 ("High Sierra") or later just to even run at all.

I would say impossible for me ... too much money .. I found some apps but then to end the video you have to buy the pro version

Unfortunately, you cannot run any currently supported versions of any apps on your machine. Period. And any older versions that are out there are either unsupported (full of security holes left permanently unpatched) or counterfeit (infected with spyware and trojans to begin with).

What's more, it is true that a new machine would cost "too much money" - but only if you insist on staying with Mac. That's because Apple itself does not sell a new machine - desktop or laptop - at all for under $1,000 USD (after factoring in sales tax and shipping). You can get a new laptop that far outperforms that dinosaur of yours for around $500-ish, if you are willing to switch to Microsoft Windows for the OS.
