Premiere Pro not recognising audio hardware

Hi All,

Since installing a Lenovo P24h monitor and connecting to it via HDMI, Premire Pro does not see any audio hardware and only gives Realtk ASIO as an option.

This is affecting everything as audio and video clips will not play in the timeline or Source Monitor.

Audition CC has no problem finding and using all the available audio hardware (headphones via HDMI, JBL pebbles on USB, headphones on PC audio jack, Rode Podcaster on USB).

System is a Windows 10 Pro, Premiere Pro CC, nVidia graphics, all software and drivers up-to-date.

Any ideas?

Regards, Duncan.

Correct answer Duncan Rosie

I rolled back to 11.1.4 and then updated back to the current version 12.1.1 Build 10 (in which I had the original problem) and all is now working fine.

Well, that was only a day wasted messing around.

You can try to update to the latest version.

Hi Ann,

MIME is not available as a device class. I have rolled back to version 12.0. MIME is now available and all audio devices recognised, however Source Mionitor and timeline will still not play.

On opening version 12.0 it gave the following error message - "Video Filter missing:  AE.ADBE MPEG.SourceSettings" I'll try see what this is all about.

Hi Juanmario, thanks for the response - all software was running in the latest version.

Set Audio Hardware input in the Preferences to None: see if that will help.

Hi Ann, thanks for the response.

I don't have that option, here is a screenshot:

Set Device class to MME.
