last few days have been such a frusteration for me using adobe, i am seriously considering switching to another program. I have deadlines i need to meet, and my entier adobe premiere pro has gone to crap. It was working fine one day, then the next all the playback was black, and the only way to fix it is disabling gpu acceleration, making it SUPER slow to even edit. Why do problems keep occuring with adobe, JUST LEAVE IT ALONE WHEN NOTHINGS WRONG WITH IT, ugh.

If Windows, do not count on Windows to be fully up to date when it comes to device drivers

Go to the vendor site to be sure you have an updated driver for your graphic adapter

    •nVidia Driver Downloads http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

    •ATI Driver https://www.amd.com/en/support

There are also intermittent reports that the newest driver is not always the best driver due to driver bugs or compatibility issues, so you MAY need to try an earlier driver version

    Hello Ricky,

If you want people to help you, you might want to do the following:

    - give information about your computer (Brand, OS version, RAM, GPU model, etc.)

    - tell what version of Pr you are using

    - give information about the project, footage type and effects you are using

    - be nice an polite and don't use capitalisation to get attention.

Adobe is not the only software on your system. My educated guess is that you are on windows and that windows automatically did some updates on your system. Most times restarting you Pc wil solve this.
