Premiere pro playback and render of OBS Files are glitchy, please help

The problem actually occurred the other day with shorter clips, but I’ve always created videos from OBS, even ones over an hour long, without any issues or having to convert them. At the same time, I’ve just noticed that if I try inserting clips I recorded about ten days ago, they are perfect, so I’m starting to think the issue might be with OBS rather than Premiere.

I haven’t changed any settings, but it’s possible that there was an update that caused the issue. I’ll try reinstalling the application to see if that helps.

Hi @Dugato33200426grd7 - If the files are from OBS, they might have a variable frame rate. That's OK for shorter clips, but long clips might need to be transcoded back to H.264 or to something like ProRes LT (better, but larger file size).

You're right, I had forgotten about the restart thing. After trying again restarting the beta with no hardware acceleration, the result is the same as the normal version: far fewer glitches, but they are still present.

Also I've just tried recording some clips with different OBS settings to make a tiny video in wich I show the results, and in the middle of it, I started getting dozens of random errors. Anyway before It started giving me all the errors I noticed that changing the encoding settings from Hardware, AMD H.264 to Hardware, AMD HEVC still results in various video bugs, but this time more with the colors. I even tried switching the quality from maximum as you said, but the result remained the same.

Hi @Dugato33200426grd7 - Thank you for the videos, I'm glad version 25 is helping your playback issue.  One thing to note is that for the hardware accelerated changes to be applied you need to restart your project.  Is this footage from OBS?  Can you try going to the wrench menu and deselect high quality playback and let us know if that helps.

Tried to turn off hardware accelerated decoding, it's a bit less glitchy now, but still broken.

Hi @Dugato33200426grd7 - What version of Premiere are you using?  Does this still happen in the beta?

Can you try opening your preferences and going to the Media section, then uncheck the boxes Hardware accelerated decoding/encoding.  Restart your project and let us know if any of those things help your issue.
