Premiere Pro Pre render taking forever

Im trying to prerender my after effects linked footage and it has taken me over 2 hours to do it. After effects comp has basic 720p video clips and two 4k ones. Ive done this before in the exact same Premiere pro project but the first time it was fine and didnt take nearly as long. Without prerendering it, even at 1/2 or 1/4 its not playable. Is this a pc problem? My pc can barly handle playing at realtime so i always have to prerender.
