PREMIERE PRO-RELINKING WRONG FILES AFTER RESTART

The files I am using are all .mov's.

I'll go into greater detail about my work flow...

I shoot on 2 Canon C100Mk2s, every time I use a new card the clip# starts out at 00001. If I am on a multi-camera shoot I will ingest the media into 2 seperate folders I give each folder a unique name. Just for an example, Card A folder will be titled 072619ACAMSunset and I will tile the other folder 072619BCAMSunset.

When I import the video assets I import the folder that the video is in so that it comes in as a bin. Within the project there are a number of video files with the same name. This has been my workflow for several years.

This morning before opening my project file I did the most recent update to v13.1.4(build2). I opened my project file expecting it to make me create an updated project file as is required by many of the updates. This time I didn't have to create a new project folder.

When I opened my project, and clicked on my sequence I found that the video in the sequence had been replace by another clip in a different folder. I clicked reveal clip in project, and then clicked reveal in finder. Instead of taking me to the folder that the media is kept in took me to my render files. The name of the render file was nowhere close to what the name of the media was or location.

I started looking at the video in my different bins within my project and found that every file that within the project that was titled 00001, 00002, 00003 were replaced by media from another bin.

I closed out of the software several times, reset my computer, and had the same issue pop up. I then deleted all the media cache files, everything was deleted except for the auto save files. I reopened Premiere and the same problem appeared. I double check to make sure that there were no other media cache files left on my computer from previous projects.

After this did not help, I reopened Premiere and went through my individual bin and replaced footage for every single video clip from its original folder on my storage device. So far everything has stayed connected even after closing and reopening Premiere several times today. I am not using any sort of proxy workflow.
