Premiere Pro timeline gone after saving

I worked on a project for over a month now.

I just clicked on save as and overwrite the footage and it closed Premiere Pro.
I opened the file and my timeline was totally empty, I still see everything left in the box but how can I get it back the way it was.

I opened an autosave and still timeline remains empty, I had a lot of text files with it aswel.

Regards Alex

Look for the sequence in your Project Panel and double click on it.  It may be located in a folder or subfolder.

Not clear if we were having the same problem, but I did something and then all off a sudden my timeline disappeared. As you mentioned, it looked like my timeline panel was empty. Picture for the sequence was still in the video window. So it was odd.

Then I realized that somehow I had managed to shrink the timeline panel all the way to the right so that it was no longer visible, thus giving the illusion that I had an empty timeline panel. But the "empty" panel was actually my tools panel that had been way over-expanded. All I had to do was grab the left edge of the timeline panel and drag it back to the left, and voila - there it was again.

Thanks, I didn't know it was that easy but this only happends when I overwrite a file by clicking on save as. If I just hit save this doesn't happen. Is that a bug or why?

It is a known issue.  Save as a different file name, ie: Project name v1, Project name v2.
