Premiere Pro will not close at the end of a session,

after saving (cmd+S) and going to File, Close Project, the programme hangs (colour wheel) and the only way to exit is Force Quit. Any suggestions?

    I'm having the same issue where I didn't have any issues yesterday. It's not only for Premiere but all of my Adobe software. I can create a new project with absolutely nothing imported or saved and the software will not close. I've been force quitting all morning.

    Mac Pro (Late 2013)

    Processor: 3 GHz 8-Core Intel Xeon E5

    Memory: 32 GB 1866 MHz DDR3

    Graphics: AMD FirePro D700 6144 MB

    These machines were newly installed at work last month.

    Hi JeremiahK,

    Do you have any third party plug-ins in use? I have heard that these can sometimes trigger the issue.

    Hi,

    Are you in CC 2018?

    What other ways have you tried closing? And are you on Mac or PC?

    I'm on CC 2018 and I'm using a Mac with 24mg of Ram and an i7 chip. Up until the end of last year all went very well then, after importing some 4K assets (graphics), I noticed, when closing the project (File > Close Project) the program would hang.

    Many thanks for your suggestions. I’ll try the ‘right click’ process and, sooner or later, I’m going to have try the proxies route.
