Premiere Pro shows the splash screen for a few seconds and then disappears. The app is not responding, and I have to force quit it. I have tried every solution I can find online, including uninstalling and reinstalling, checking third-party plugins, etc... but I can't fix it.
I have a 2022 Macbook Pro with an Apple M2 chip running MacOs Sonoma Version 14.1.1
I am looking for a solution to open Premier on my laptop.
Hi,

@Sor4y5763765743 I'm sorry that's happening. Try holding down Shift and then launching Premiere Pro. You should get a "Reset Options" dialog where you can check the boxes for "Reset plugin loading cache". Try that first. If you still can't get Premiere to open, try to the option to Ignore third-party plug-ins. If it still doesn't work, try the options for for "Reset app preferences" and "Clear media cache".

Hi. I had the same problem (iMac 3.8 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i7) today after leaving auto updates on a few days ago. After trying al the recommended solutions including starting a new project (didn't work), I noticed that there was often a dark flash near the bottom of my screen when the project started. Upon investigation, there was the tiniest of dark lines at the bottom of the screen. When I clicked and dragged it up, my project was there. This seems totally ridiculous but thought I'd share in case it helps someone else. Good luck.
