Premiere’s Project Manager is basically unusable

Hi guys!

This isn’t new: Premiere’s Project Manager is basically unusable. No matter what you do, if the project is even slightly complex, it just doesn’t work.

I’ve been using PlumePack for a long time. It’s honestly depressing that I have to rely on it, but it worked for me… until now. The free version has started adding project limits, and it also renames all files by appending something like “plumepackfree”, which creates a whole new mess on my side.

Does anyone know what I can do about this? It’s horrible that I’m having so many problems just to move the whole project into the folder I want and archive/close it properly. And the paid version of PlumePack is almost $100, which is a bit too much for me right now.

Thanks a lot in advance!

Averdahl, myself, noted guru Jarle Leirpoll, many others have been wanting a vastly upgraded Project Manager since forever. And pushing for it online an in-person with the devs at NAB, MAX, and all the other in-person shows.

It is very disappointing they've never updated this. It should be a useful feature for everyone, but ... by the time you set things up to actually use it, it's faster to do it manually. Sigh.

Everyone's mileage always varies ...

I agree and don´t understand why Adobe just stopped to support/develop it. I remember when it was introduced back in the day, it was a top feature/selling point at that time, so it´s sad to see how it is totally unusable today.

I have no solution for you...
