pressing space doesn't start the work

I am quite new with adobe so maybe there is an obvious solution for my problem...

Suddenly the space bar doesn't start my film which I made on the timeline...?

Any ideas?

Thanks

Make sure that you have selected timeline window when pressing space

in addition to all steps mentioned, some people tried switching audio on and off and it worked for them,

others by deleting the render files or video previews then clean the media cache

Make sure the Timeline panel is selected. For example, if you click in your Source window, pressing space bar will not start playback on your timeline.

Thanks all, but I still did not find it. Besides the space bar also the 'play' icon does not work. It just doesn't want to run. Very strange, as I never had this problem..  I think adobe premiere had a update? Can it have something to do with that...??

In addition I use premiere pro cc on a pc...
