Preview files lost after reopening project – Premiere Pro 2023

Hi,

When I render my previews in my timeline so the bar turns from red to green and then save the project – the next time I open the project the bar is red again and hence the preview not loading. I cannot rerender everything everytime I work on it again, that is ridiculous.

I can however find the preview files in the folder on my drive, and they are playable, so they are there.
I tried reinstalling Premiere Pro and ofc also shutting the Mac down and restarting it. I tried importing the project into a new one, but same problem here.
I have my preview files in the same folder as the whole project, and tried both on my SSD and desktop.

Can someone help me?
Thank you in advance!

I figured out after a while that for me it only affected Blackmagic Raw footage. Apparently the former Blackmagic Raw Software / Plugin doesn't work with the newer Premiere versions, so make sure you download the newest Blackmagic Raw software & put it in the according folder in your library. hope this helps someone as I've spent a ridiculous amount of time figuring this out.
