why does premiere preview the frame before when adjusting motion is there anyway I can fix this?
When I want to adjust the position of my video at the very first frame of the clip the preview will show the frame before it (aka the clip before it) so I basically have to guess where I'm positioning my clip. Obviously I can just go the frame after to do it but as an editor who's job is to work as quickly as possible, this is a really big headache to have to deal with everytime I want to change the position at the beginning of a clip.

Without screenshots, it's hard to say for sure, but are you talking about keyframing in the Effects Controls panel when you have a transition between two clips? If so, you can click the flyout menu of the panel and disable the "Pin to Clip" feature. If this isn't what you're referring to, please be more specific and provide screenshots.
