Preview Screen Freezing

Hi, ive been dealing with this issue for weeks and can't seem to find a remedy for the problem. Its crippling my workflow because it's requiring me to restart my adobe premiere every 5 minute... Please help, I have a huge project due this next week!

PROBLEM:

My premiere pro "Preview Screen" keeps getting frozen on a frame after like 5 minutes. The program is not frozen or crashing because I can still move the timeline bar. Its going to cost me thousands in delays, might have to just get a new computer but I want to save $4000. Please help!

I've tried the following:

- Fully updated adobe software and mac

- restarted computer / adobe

- reset my workspace

- rendered in and out the sequence

- selected "preview area" (recommended by a youtuber)

- switched to different workspaces, no luck

- tried my other mac computer, still the same problem!

MAC monterey 12.6.7 (fully updated)

Processor: 4.0 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7

Memory: 32GB 1867 MHz DDR3

Graphics: AMD Radeon R9 M395X 4GB

500GB  of free space on hardrive

Adobe Premiere version (fully updated) 23.5.0
