Question

Problem with display driver, but graphic drivers are updated?

Hey there!

I've begun using all of the 2019 Adobe offerings (Bridge, Photoshop, Premiere, etc) yet I keep getting errors about there being a "problem with the display driver."

All the troubleshooting guides I've found just tell me to update my graphic drivers, but they're already on the latest version. I have Nvidia 416.34, which I updated on 10/11, before I even installed the new Adobe updates.

What other troubleshooting steps can I go through to resolve this? Everything else that depends on the graphic drivers (games, etc) works fine; it's just Adobe that's having these issues.

As this is across all CC apps, you might first try uninstalling the CC Desktop app ... reboot ... download/install/sign-in, and see if that fixes the issue.

If not, uninstall the Nvidia graphics drivers in total. Reboot, and then start with a clean download/install of the Nvidia drivers. It sound like you've got something stuck in a registry file somewhere that's tripping up the Adobe apps.
