Problem with old SONY XDcam importing clips into Premier Pro newest version

Hi there,

My problem is the newest Premiere Pro can't import my old Sony XDCAM clips properly. It gives zero beginning for every clips. I have tried many ways to import but the clips still start with zero.

The Premiere Pro 2020 can handle the approx. 15 years old sony XDCAM clips in a right way.

The other clips for sportcameras, photocameras etc. are fine, only the xdcam's clips the premiere pro 2024 cannot "eat".

I using MacBook Pro 16 GB Sonoma 14.0 to edit.

Has anybody a solution idea for this situation?

thx,

Kristian from Hungary

Hi @krisztiankadlecsek,

I read about your problem. I heard about this situation. As I understand it, the latest version does not support "spanning" for certain formats in v.24 and Macs running Apple Silicon. It is a feature that relied on Rosetta, which has been deprecated. https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/kb/premiere-pro-for-apple-silicon.html

Sorry about that!

Thanks,
Kevin
