problems with Noise HLS Auto

i had to discover that the Noise HLS Auto effekt is changing stuff, everytime there is another effekt in play.

I'm in my last Steps of the project and try to grade and add grain. 

so i added one adjustment layer for the Noise HLS Auto.

in my video i have some effects, mainly on top of cuts. 

most of these effects change their appearance as soon as i switch on the Noise adjustment layer, even when all effect-controls of Noise are at zero. (see pictures)

I have a lot of blur effects, they all get much mor contrasty.

It's most annoying with the effect called offset, because it halves the behaviour of the effect in every instance, so the wipe freezes at split screen.

all of the above also happens when i nest the timeline.

i recognized the effect is in the obsolete folder. whatever that means.

Most tutorials recommend this effect for adding grain to a whole video.

I guess my question is: anybody has an alternative to add lively grain? 

Or any workaround to avoid this strange behaviour?
