Project media sorts by frame rate by default

How do I change the default sort order to something reasonable like the file name?

Since I'm still lacking on the terminology, what I'm referring to is the list of content in the project that is populated by importing stuff (ctrl+I).

It just adds yet one more unreasonable step to my ingest process.

You can assign sort order to View Preset and than add shortcuts for each preset you've created.

Can you elaborate? What do you mean by "view preset" and how do I add one?

Every time I make a new project, the default sort for my bins is Framrate and I don't love it.

Change the project panel to the way you want it, then right click the "Project: Project Name" header and choose Save View Preset.

To change what column is determining the sort, click on the column name. Click again to toggle Ascending Sort/Descending Sort.

It's always sorted by name for me. I have to manually change it.
