Proxy and Timeline setup for 4k and UHD

Hi, this is a newbie question but I'm struggling to find answers online. Im using latest Premiere.

I have footage in 4096x2160 and also 3840x2160.

I am assuming we will finish in 4096.

I am trying to decide the correct proxy sizes and correct timeline settings for both since they're not both 16x9.

Any suggestions for easiest workflow with these two sizes?

1. Create a sequence matching the highest resolution export you will need.

2. Use the appropriate Cineform proxy preset for each media type.

3. Edit away.

So if the highest is 3160 which is 16:9 but my 4k footage is not 16:9 whats

the best situation for the proxy

1920x1080 w/ the black bars on top and bottom? Or 1920x1013

I would go for UDH as finished product.

Dont use odd numbers for proxies, you can select a ready made preset.

Typically one uses say a half-size Cineform preset.

What is your percentage of full 4k vs UHD? Curious as to your comment about expected export.

I'd say 80% 4k. I think the UHD is an a7sii that's crowd shots and broll,

establishing shots etc.
