Proxy file name is not renamed while ingesting

Hi,

I am importing 4K footage in to PPCC 2017, I have created two presets in encode 2017

1 - for creating watermark

2 - for creating proxy , In proxy preset I have chosen the file rename option as I have same file names created every day and want to store proxy footage in separate folder, (I created filename date time sub-preset for the same ).

While creating project in PPCC i used ingest preset for proxy option, there it shows the correct information about codec and renaming option, Now when I import footage into PP, it automatically created encoder entry , but It's not renaming the file and keep appending _1 for same file names

I want to rename the filenames with date and time stamp

e.g. C001.mp4 should be C001_29112016101120_Proxy, C001_29112016121120_Proxy etc.

Why file rename option is not working while ingesting , it works If I use the same preset directly in encoder

Below is screen shots showing all options

Using this on Mac OX X 10.11.14

PPCC 2017 - latest updated

Need it urgently

The File Rename options are not currently supported for Proxies. Any changes for File Rename (in Ingest Preset Settings) will be ignored and the Proxy file name will always be inherited from the source/Full Res file.

This limitation is mentioned in one of the help documents.

Adobe Premiere Pro Help | Ingest and Proxy Workflow in Premiere Pro CC 2015.3

To use File Metadata and File Rename

You can add file metadata to files that are being transcoded or to new proxies, and you can rename files on ingest when copying or transcoding (the filename of proxies is always inherited from the source file).

    It's unfortunate,

I found workaround , I renamed all the footage having created date time stamp attached to it;s name :-)

Used mac application created for the same... works for me

Is there a way to prevent premiere to add "Proxy" to the name of the files transcoded?  I really want the files to have the exact name as the originals!!!

    Thaks

Kevin is correct. _Proxy is required for the linking functionality.

If you are open to an intermediate workflow, you could try using Ingest > Transcode.
