I want to use proxies for editing 5.7k, 8x7 aspect ratio video shot on a GoPro. The problem is that I can't find a setting that doesn't distort the 8x7 aspect ratio image.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Hi @Dogwap,
Thanks for the message. You need to create a custom proxy. See this article: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/ingest-proxy-workflow.html

Cool, @Dogwap! Let me know how it goes. I can help as I have some experience with creating proxy presets. It's an empowering technique that will help you with other oddball formats, including the ever-present 9:16 formats.
Thanks!

SOLVED! Thanks for the help Kevin. Watching that video served as a good starting point. I eventually found this YouTube video that really details the process quite well.
It takes a couple of additional tweaks to preserve the aspect ratio but the changes are simple and the overall process just took a few minutes.
