Hi there! A quick question: what is the right way to share a Premiere Pro project to another editor'/person/company to continue and finish the edit?
I just shot a project where the editor asked me to put my selects onto a timeline and "AN ACCOMPANYING PREMIERE PRO XML FILE OR PREMIERE PROJECT FILE CONTAINING YOUR ORDERED SELECTS IN A TIMELINE".
Is there a way to export the project files WITHOUT the source video clips (they already have them) or should I just send over the actual *.prproj file? Are there preview files that go with it? How do I may the XML file?
And sometimes I have other people make a rough edit on my videos and then I would like them to pass me the project so I can finish the edit. What is the best and easiest way for me to get their project?
I did see something online about cloud sharing the project file? That is something different from what I want right?
Thanks in advance for your advice.

You can use File > Project Manager.., but that will collect the source footage as well.
For this you just need a Premiere Pro project file with the Sequence containing the selects.
Let's say you're currently working in a Premiere Pro project file named "audio90_cut.prproj". You could do File > Save As and name the resulting project file "audio90_cut_selects.prproj" or anything descriptive, but keep the name of your master project in the filename. Then delete everything not used. Or, open a second project named "audio90_cut_selects.prproj" and copy and paste the Sequence containing the selects to it. You're probably already aware that more than one project can be open at the same time.
Save and close "audio90_cut_selects.prproj", place it into a folder, create a Zip archive of that folder and send it. While sending the .prproj file direclty should work, I've found it to be a little safer to put it ina folder and Zip it.
