Hi everyone

Just trying to figure out what's going on here. I'm simply trying to record a voice over on my version (13) of Premiere Pro, and leep coming up with this error. I've tried fiddling around with the settings, and tried googling this error, but existing threads have pointed me to solutions that don't quite work on my version of Pr.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Correct answer almostDON

Mine has dragged and dropped but i still get the same error when its enabled and it wont let me record...

I have my microphone selected it keeps saying I must enabled one track for it and I thought i enabled it..

Hello Matthew and all those that still run into this issue,

all these answers are good but the same error message still appears when all the prerequisites are met, WHEN PREMIERE PRO HAS NO PERMISSION TO USE THE MICROPHONE on the general computer settings!

On Mac click on the Apple icon in the upper left corner, go to system settings, choose "privacy & security", click on "Microfone", activate the toggle for Adobe Premiere Pro.

    Best regards

    Here are the steps:

    1. On the track where you will be recording, right-click and choose Customize
    2. From the window that opens, drag and drop "Enable for recording" button [R]
    3. Enable this button
    4. Enable mic icon to start recording

You can also right-click and choose "Voice-over settings" to check if it's using your microphone
