R3D Footage Audio Issues in Premiere
We've been having an issue with Media Browser on footage that we've shot with our Red Komodo X. When the video file is imported via Media Browser, we're finding that the audio will drift and then try to regain it's timing by duplicaiting audio causing random glitching. This has happened on multiple projects with various R3D clips shot on different Komodos. We can also see the glitches and repeats in the waveforms as well meaning it's not just a hardware issue.
However the odd thing is if just using the File->Import prompt the audio turns out fine, however the file structure is very messy. The folder would be imported with the consolidated R3D on top (as like if it were imported through media browser) and then all the individual 4gb files would be under it meaning our editors would have to go in and clear extra files.
We've ran the clips via RedCine-X and also Davinci, there were no audio issues there - just specifically via Media Browser, is there something that we're missing? Or is there a knwn bug?
